I have fond memories of building with Tinkertoys and was anxious to share this experience with my 6-year-old. Upon opening the tin, wonderful pieces within and seemed very good, however, beware, the round connection circles are not as durable as the classic collection and within 2 days, two were broken. Some of the sticks vary slightly in width as well, making the connection points weak and difficult to sustain the structures.
Still a great builder's toy and my son has been going, going, going for days and new creations now. -- Good, but not the classic
Toys R Us has the 225 pcs. set for $39.99. Amazon is a rip off! -- Over priced
I ordered these toys in March 2010. The lid came damaged, so it won't fit on the barrel, but besides that, the toys are so much fun for my kids to play with. Some of the wooden sticks have broken, but most pieces are in tact and it is fun for all the kids that come to play as well as ours who never seem to get bored of them.
