I like to have little gadgets on my desk. They make a good distraction for my conscious mind while my subconscious is working on a problem.
This is an easy to use device, doesn't take a lot of learning and it's kind of mesmerizing.

I have had a version of this toy a few times in my life. Now my 6 year-old nephew has one, and he gets as much enjoyment out of it as I did.
It's not a toy that you can play with for hours, but it's challenging at first and is just fun to do. I think everyone should play with one at least once. For adults, it's a coffee table toy, for kids, it's a stocking stuffer type toy. -- Classic toy for all
