Deadshot (Floyd Lawton) is a hired assassin who uses mainly wrist mounted guns and an ability (whether real or just boast) to never miss. He's been a Batman foe as well as a menace around the rest of the DC Universe.
For kids:
Medium. While he may not be well known as a character he's got a very colorful costume, wrist guns and "eye scope" that make him stand out a bit. I think that colorfulness would be the main attractant to a kid and the fact that it's a sturdy figure does not hurt.
For adults:
Sculpt wise Deadshot has a lot to work with. His is a fully masked face but the details of the eyes and nose are well done as is the scope eye. There are ribbed sections on his upper chest, raised cut lines, golden belts around his biceps and his wrist guns. There's not super detail in the guns but plenty that they look really nice. He's also got his rubber belt with side hanging silencers and raised sections on his boots. His hands are fists. All is very well done and defined.
The paintwork is tricky... There's a lot of it and the varying colors (red, yellow, silver, grey, gold, black) look really good and as I mentioned they are a key factor in a kid digging this guy but all that variety lends itself to some slop as well. Nothing horrendous mind you but I did find slop in some of the grey, around the bull's eye emblem on his chest, some smudge one of his yellow boots and most notably slop on the gold belts around his biceps. But there IS so much color that you almost overlook these flaws and so many other aspects are great like the black pin stripes on his mid section, silver strips on his boots and yellow highlights on his belt.
No big surprises on the articulation, limited ball neck, ball / pin shoulders, pin elbows and cut wrists. He's got the ab crunch, cut waist and the forward, back and out hips that don't hurt the sculpt. Lastly the cut thighs, pin knees and ankles round out the articulation. As usual there's plenty for a great amount of poses without encumbering the sculpt.
He only comes with his piece of Chemo.
If you know the character he's almost a must (especially if you want the CC figure) and small paint slop aside he makes up for it with what is right and with the sculpt, plus kids might get a kick out of him especially once they learn he can be used as a Batman villain (well any figure can but this one has "cannon" on his side). I'd say 3 ½ and feel generous towards him so 4 it is.
The collect and connect (CC) is Chemo - a walking toxic waste barrel. He's made of clear green plastic with bubbles sculpted on - and lots of additional bubbles in the variant version. He's simplistic in nature but the sculpted areas look really good. He's also pretty big and several inches over the standard figures. His is a limited set of articulation but he's really fun to look at, especially with a light behind him. 3 ½ to 4 on Chemo. -- Dead On
